WENATCHEE — Seattle Business magazine honored two Confluence Health executives this week in its annual “Leaders in Health Care Award” issue.
Dr. Mitch Garrison, chairman of the Wenatchee Valley Medical Group, and Confluence senior vice president Glenn Adams were each honored in the issue. Garrison received the Outstanding Medical Group Executive award, while Adams, who heads up Confluence’s Ancillary Services division, earned the Community Outreach Award.
Garrison, a cancer specialist, helped steer the 250 physicians of the Wenatchee Valley Medical Group through a five-year strategic plan and recruited 50 new doctors in the last two years. Adams spearheaded Confluence Health’s Opioid Take Back Program and other initiatives to address addiction among central Washington patients. The take-back project has collected and disposed of more than 1,600 pounds of medications from secure collection boxes throughout the Confluence service region.
