Soul of Seattle at Northwest African American Museum in Seattle, WA on Fri Feb 7, 6–9 pm – Seattle Food & Drink Events Calendar – TheStranger.com

“Join two-time James Beard Award Winning Chef Edouardo Jordan and the Urban League of Seattle as they bring together 10 Chefs of Color in Seattle that embody the diverse fabric of Seattle’s food scene. All proceeds raised will empower youth of color in the Seattle community!

As one of the most recognizable Chefs in Seattle, Edouardo Jordan created The Soul of Seattle to help foster relationships and empower the community with the greater Seattle Area through food. His goal is to shed light on amazing food from Seattle establishments operated by people of color. Seattle is an amazing food city in which some of the most talented chefs and curators in the country create the fabric of our food scene.

The event will begin with a walk through the main gallery of the Northwest African American Museum, where guests will be greeted by 10 local chefs, showcasing their culinary talents through the food that best represents them.

For those who choose to become VIP Dinner guests, a multi-course meal curated by Chef Jordan and Toni Tipton-Martin will begin at 7pm (during the sampling of small bites), highlighting two centuries of African American ancestral food, as well as a silent auction.” (Promo Copy)
